The air travel museum in Wernigerode houses a remarkable number of aeroplanes and fascinating models. Over 1000 exhibits and more than 50 flying machines are waiting for your visit. The museum's "biggest bird" is a Transall C-160 military aeroplane purchased by the Air Travel Museum from the Federal Armed Forces which is permanently on display at the air strip in Ballenstedt.
Daily from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm
Closed on the 24th & 25th December and the 1st of January
Adults: 8.00 €, Children and Youths from 6 to 15 years: 4.00 €, Children under 5: free entry
The air travel museum offers guided tours on request. Children's audio guides (6 to 12 years) with our mascot "Fanny". Audio guides for adults in German and English.
